New Flea Treatment

Rather than looking at traditional kinds of treatments wherein you administer tablet to the pet or you give them a topical application of the flea powder or a shampoo these might not be as effective as clubbing it with newer and different methods.

Treating your house could be another new idea that you could try. You could try and use Methoprene which is also called Precor. Go ahead and use this product all by itself or use it as a spray in combination with other products. Another alternative that you could try is a product made of sodium borate popularly called FleaBusters. Lots of pet owners have also tried the use of diatomaceous earth which is food grade in the house to control fleas.

The latest approach to flea control is to use the nematode worm which thrives on flea larvae. These worms are spread in the yard. This is complete non-toxic and free of any chemicals of any kind. The treatment should only be used in areas that are warm and moist.

Previously, in order to get rid of fleas one had to treat the entire yard and the pet. Now, with the advent of chemically induced flea control one such as Advantage, Program, Frontline one can only treat their pets for flea treatment effectively.

Flea control can be an expensive proposition but it is better to control them rather than deal with problems that they could cause to your pet’s health. Try and use these flea control measures regularly. If you are treating your pet, read the instructions and follow them stringently. In the case of house control measure the house and then use an appropriate amount. Make sure to use methods that attack pre-adult as well as adult fleas.

Keep up the flea treatment and watch them disappear.
